📍 What Is the NEET 2027 Exam City Intimation Slip?
The NEET 2027 Exam City Intimation Slip is an advance-information document intended to inform candidates about the city where their examination centre will be located.
The purpose is to give candidates time to plan their journey, estimate travel time, arrange accommodation if necessary, and prepare for examination day.
For example, a candidate living in Supaul, Bihar, might be allotted an examination city elsewhere in Bihar or in another permitted location. The actual allotment depends on NTA’s process and the candidate’s application; no specific city can be guaranteed in advance.
Why is the city slip important?
The NEET 2027 city intimation slip can help candidates:
- Identify the allotted examination city.
- Plan train, bus, or other transport arrangements.
- Estimate how long the journey may take.
- Arrange accommodation if travelling a long distance.
- Coordinate travel with parents or guardians.
- Avoid last-minute confusion before the examination.
Candidates should not assume that their preferred city will automatically be allotted. They should also avoid making non-refundable travel arrangements until they have checked the official information and considered the possibility of changes.
🆚 NEET 2027 Exam City Slip vs Admit Card
Many candidates confuse the city intimation slip with the NEET admit card. Although both documents relate to the examination, they serve different purposes.
| Feature | City intimation slip | NEET admit card |
|---|---|---|
| Main purpose | Informs the candidate of the allotted exam city | Provides examination-entry information |
| City information | Yes | Yes, as part of centre details |
| Exact centre address | Not necessarily | Expected to be provided |
| Reporting time and exam instructions | Do not rely on the city slip for these | Check the official admit card |
| Used as the examination-entry document | No | Follow the official entry instructions |
| Release sequence | Generally before the admit card | Generally released later |
Important: A NEET 2027 city slip should not be treated as permission to enter the examination hall. Candidates must follow the admit-card instructions and carry all required documents on examination day.
