Early Life and Background
Nitin Vijay, popularly known as NV Sir, was born on 2 January 1984 in Kota, Rajasthan. He belongs to a middle-class family. His father worked in a thermal power plant, and his mother was a homemaker.
As a student, Nitin was bright and focused. After Class 10, his father enrolled him in coaching for IIT-JEE, even taking a high-interest loan to support his education. Nitin took a drop year and cleared JEE, securing admission to IIT-BHU (Banaras Hindu University) in 2003, where he pursued B.Tech in Ceramic Engineering (2003–2007).

The Turning Point – Passion for Teaching
During his first year at IIT-BHU, Nitin discovered his love for teaching while helping batchmates understand Physics. He realised that teaching was his true calling.
From his second year, he started teaching Physics to support his family after his father faced major financial losses from a failed investment. He used to travel long distances (around 60 km daily) from his hostel to teach students, working 16–18 hours a day with only 4–5 hours of sleep. He even started a small coaching venture called Kota Point in Varanasi while still studying.
Despite getting job offers from good companies after graduation, he chose teaching over a corporate career.
Journey in Kota and Birth of Motion Education
After completing his B.Tech in 2007, Nitin returned to Kota and joined Bansal Classes as a Physics faculty. His classes quickly became extremely popular and overcrowded. This led to friction with the management. After a few months, he decided to leave.
Encouraged by his own students, he founded Motion Education in December 2007. He started with a small rented room and just a handful of employees. The name “Motion” was suggested by his students.
From that humble beginning, Motion Education grew steadily into one of Kota’s leading coaching institutes for JEE and later NEET.
Rise of Motion Education
Over the years, NV Sir expanded Motion Education significantly:
- Launched Foundation Division (2011)
- Established Motion NEET Division (2015)
- Opened multiple centres across India
- Launched the Motion Learning App (2021)
- Started Motion Dhruv Boarding School (2023)
- Expanded internationally with a centre in Kuwait (2025)
Today, Motion Education is a major name in Kota with a strong focus on personalised learning, mentorship, and student well-being.
Connection with Kota Factory – The Real Jeetu Bhaiya
NV Sir is widely regarded as the real-life inspiration behind the character Jeetu Bhaiya from the popular Netflix series Kota Factory. Students and viewers often draw parallels between his teaching style, motivational approach, friendly “bhaiya” image, and the character portrayed by Jitendra Kumar.
Current Status (2026)
As of 2026, Nitin Vijay continues to serve as the Founder & CEO of Motion Education and remains an active Physics faculty. He is based in Kota and is deeply involved in teaching, mentoring students, and guiding the institute’s growth.
He is also active in motivational talks, podcasts, and public discussions on education, student mental health, and the future of coaching in India. He has received several recognitions, including the Young Achiever Award from IIT-BHU (2019) and BW Disrupt 40 Under 40 awards.
Despite building a successful education brand, NV Sir is still known among students for his accessible, elder-brother-like personality — someone who scolds, motivates, and genuinely cares about their journey.
Key Takeaway
NV Sir’s story shows that even after clearing IIT, one can choose passion over a conventional high-paying job. From teaching while studying and facing family financial pressure to building one of Kota’s respected coaching institutes, his journey continues to inspire lakhs of JEE and NEET aspirants.
