NEET 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria to appear for NEET 2026:

Nationality:

Indian Nationals, Non-Resident Indians (NRIs), Overseas Citizens of India (OCIs), Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs), and Foreign Nationals are eligible.

Age Limit:

Candidates must be at least 17 years old at the time of admission.

The upper age limit is 25 years for general category candidates and 30 years for reserved category candidates.

Educational Qualification:

Candidates must have passed Class 12 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English as core subjects.

A minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Biotechnology is required for general category candidates, and 40% for reser

ved category candidates.

Number of Attempts:

There is no limit on the number of attempts for NEET.
